Editorial policy
Silver Food Journal aims to make food subjects clear, accurate and engaging. We distinguish explanation from opinion, check factual claims before publication and make visible when a piece has a commercial connection.
Accuracy and review
Writers and editors check names, terms, dates and other factual details against suitable sources before publication. We consider the context as well as the claim, and avoid making a general statement sound certain when the subject varies by place, tradition or technique. Articles are reviewed for clarity and accuracy, but they are not professional medical, legal or financial advice.
Independence and partners
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled near its placement, and a partner does not receive an undisclosed say over independent editorial coverage. We do not imply endorsement simply because a product or organisation is mentioned.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a factual error, contact us with the relevant article and detail. We assess correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, we label them so readers can distinguish illustrative imagery from documentary photography.
Curiosity belongs in every kitchen
We believe a closer look can make familiar food more interesting. Understanding the choices behind a dish leaves room for your own way of cooking and sharing it.
